EXIP PROJECT
The internet is a communication network that has the function of connecting one electronic media with another electronic media quickly and precisely. The communication network will convey some information sent via signal transmission with a frequency that has been adjusted.
WHAT IS EXIP?
EXIP was designed to decentralize the internet and overcome monopoly control over domain names and top-level domains. Blockchain DNS solution where your preferred agnostic NFT identifies your domain & Top Level Domains. EXIP DNS is blockchain based, and the owner of their respective domains & top level domains have complete control over their use, even providing new domain names with subdomains.
EXPORT ECOSYSTEM
The EXIP ecosystem is built specifically for the needs of individuals, private or government agencies. EXIP token is a use agnostic & governance token originally released based on the Binance chain. EXIP tokens will be used to buy, sell and auction top level domains & domains, while token holders will be staked when domains & TLDs are bought & auctioned off. browser & EXIP Extension will allow users to access blockchain based DNS technology where everything develops without knowledge policy. Nobody will own the internet except the community. Provides intranet security and provides internet connectivity. only then can we build a truly free and open internet.
- EXIP DNSEXIP DNS
The system is where ordinary users can buy, order, sell, auction and transfer domains & top level domains identified via NFTs created by users across multiple blockchains. communities can host their DNS servers as nodes that will resolve decentralized domain names either locally or in the cloud, which will act like traditional DNS servers. once the user enters the domain name in the search bar, it will search for the requested name on the EXIP system, and if not found, it will look for it on the traditional DNS server.
- EXIP BROWSER & BROWSER EXTENSIONS
EXIP Browser & Extensions will allow users to access blockchain-based DNS technology where everything develops without knowledge policies. Domains created via DNS can be accessed via browser extensions, dedicated browsers, and decentralized DNS servers. users can explore the decentralized EXIP domain via a browser extension. Users can add extensions for their current browser. Users have to install the EXIP browser or install the EXIP browser extension to an existing browser and access a decentralized domain. In addition, there will be bridges to support traditional domains.
- DECENTRALIZED HOSTING
Users can host their decentralized static sites via IPFS with the click of a button from the DNS reservation system once they own the domain.
- EXIP TOKEN
EXIP token is a use agnostic & governance token originally released based on the Binance chain. EXIP tokens will be used to buy, sell and auction top level domains & domains, while token holders will be staked when domains & TLDs are bought & auctioned off. token holders have voting rights to confiscate or revoke any domain or TLD if the community decides it shouldn't exist.
What is DNS?
The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) maintains the domain name system. This is a non-profit organization that creates and enforces policies for domain names.
ICANN allows companies called Domain Name Registrars to sell domain names. These domain registrars are permitted to make changes to the domain name registry on your behalf.
Domain name registrars can sell domain names, manage their records, renew, and transfer to other registrars.
The naming system for the Internet now runs a multi-layer model. The operating system is usually faced with a stub resolver. There is no recursive feature in stub resolver and can only send simple DNS message queries to remote name servers. They are intended as recursive servers. The recursive server performs a full DNS iteration on behalf of the stub resolver by going through the zone name servers before getting an answer. The name database for an area is called an authoritative server. Authorized servers can support their records, but they can also send referrals to the child zone.
What is a Domain?
A domain name is the address of your website that people type into the URL bar of their browser to visit your website.
Simply put, if your website is a house, then your domain name will be the address.
When you enter a domain name in your web browser, it first sends a request to the global network of servers that make up the Domain Name System (DNS).
This server then looks for the name server associated with the domain and forwards requests to that name server.
For example, if your website is hosted on EXIP, then the name server information would be like this:
- ns1.EXIP.com
- ns2.EXIP.com
What is a Top Level Domain?
A top level domain or TLD is a public domain extension registered at the highest level in the domain name system.
There are hundreds of TLDs, but the most popular are .com, .org, and .net. Other TLDs are less well known. For example, .biz, .club, .info, .agency, and many more.
In general, you can divide TLDs into three types:
- Generic top level domain (gTLD) - Roughly all domains unrelated to a country. The most famous ones are com, org and net. All gTLDs are under ICANN policy.
- Country code top-level domain (ccTLD) - All domains identified by country or geographic location, for example, de, nl, or dk. A ccTLD always consists of two letters.
- Sponsored Top Level Domains - Top-level sponsored domains sTLD or sTLD is a category of TLDs with sponsors representing a specific community served by domain extensions. For example, .edu for education-related organizations, .gov for the United States government, .mil for the United States military, and others.
- Over the last few years, many new TLDs have become available, for example, .agency, .email or .house. At One.com, you can choose from over 250 different TLDs.
